Registered Charity No. 1091474

Bring families together in an informal environment, i.e. Social/Leisure, where parents can freely talk/discuss issues relating to their families, thus supporting one another.
Cater for children with a wide range of disabilities and include their siblings, parents and carers.
Access safe and suitable venues for our holiday clubs/social events working closely with Social Services and other agencies.
Provide stimulating activities that encourage mobility and use of all the senses, e.g. music and drama, swimming, educational outings and play activities, using our wide range of equipment and sensory room.

Our group is unique for three main reasons:
1. We are a family orientated group and we provide a range of activities that encourage the whole family to participate.
2. Our membership is open to all. This currently includes 112 families encompassing 53 different disabilities.
3. All of the people who help F.U.N. are parents of children with disabilities. Between us we have a wealth of knowledge, experience and understanding.

Our Aims:
To encourage and support families who have children with disabilities/special needs.
To provide an environment which is safe, stimulating and fun.
To provide fun activities incorporating social and educational skills.
To offer general support including professional talks.
To offer isolated and vulnerable families an opportunity to meet their leisure, educational and play needs.
To address issues which affect our families/members.

We have 3 part time members of staff and we employ approximately 6 play leaders/assistants for our holiday club. We actively recruit volunteers for a number of different tasks. For more info please contact us.
